Mazda North American Operations is headquartered in Irvine, Calif. and oversees the sales, marketing, parts and customer service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States and Mexico through approximately 620 dealers. Operations in Mexico are managed by Mazda Motor de Mexico in Mexico City. To that end, Mazda’s SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY includes new high-compression gasolines, new six-speed automatic and manual transmissions with improved efficiencies over previous designs, and newly-designed vehicle chassis and suspension components focused on improving performance and reducing weight.
